A spectacular spring day awaited us in mid May for Sam and Tom’s big day. Everything made the best of the awesome weather and we able to get some stunning footage for their film.
Photography at this wedding was by the awesome James Arnold Photography, an experienced photographer who’d come down from Cheshire for this wedding.
Things began early in the morning as we travelled to Shrewsbury to film the bridal and groom preparations. Matt went to film the Sam and her bridesmaids, whilst Russ headed to Tom’s family home to film the groom prep.
Great to see everyone so laid-back and relaxed during the morning preparations. It’s not always like that!
The ceremony took place at Holy Trinity church in Meole Brace, a quaint little village just outside Shrewsbury. This is easily one of the best churches we’ve ever filmed at! The vicar made everything pleasant and easy for us and the church itself was spacious and easy to move around in. Makes getting great shots much easier than having a cramped church.
The walkways down the sides and centre of Holy Trinity were large and meant that we could move around freely and produce the best possible work for the bride and groom.
After the church ceremony, there was plenty of opportunity for photographs outside, before Sam and Tom left for the venue in a brilliant converted VW camper van. Haven’t filmed one of those at a wedding before, so that was a nice first!
The reception took place at Grove Farm, another first visit venue for us. Set amid the lovely rolling countryside of Shropshire, Grove Farm Leisure is a new wedding venue set in the village of Shawbury, just outside Shrewsbury.
The staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us to make working here very rewarding. There was a comical mishap when a donkey managed to escape from its pen, but it was brief, didn’t affect the wedding reception itself and all was handled well by the staff.
We really enjoyed working with Sam and Tom. They’re a fantastic couple were are clearly very much in love. We had a great time travelling to Shropshire for this wedding and meeting some fantastic folks!
We wish Sam and Tom all the happiness in the world in their new life together as husband and wife.
