The wedding of Jenni and Anthony was filmed on a beautiful sunny day in mid June. We again filmed at one of our favourite venues, Deer Park Hall in Eckington.
The day began with bridal preparations at Eckington Manor. Eckington Manor is a stunning little hotel just outside Pershore in the beautiful village of Eckington. Famed as a cookery school, I’m sure they have a lot of wedding guests visit due to Deer Park Hall being just down the road.
Matt and Russ started the day filming the bridal prep at Eckington Manor, before Russ headed off to capture the groom and his mates getting ready in nearby Worcester. Great to see such a chilled out bride in the morning! That’s not always the case!
Photographers for the day were Marta and Artur, a husband and wife team that make up Marta May Photography. Based in Hereford, these guys were really easy and friendly to work with!
From Eckington Manor, we moved to Deer Park Hall for both the ceremony and reception. Great to have the ceremony and reception in the same place, as it makes our job as wedding videographers so much easier. Also, the lack of rushing around from place to place helps us have the time to do our best work.
Jenni and Anthony aren’t afraid to be silly around friends and family, as the relaxed and fun civil ceremony showed, with plenty of jokes and humour throughout the easy-going occasion.
We captured some great footage in the gardens around Deer Park Hall as always. Jenni and Anthony were patient and accommodating and let us take them through the fields to get some stunning natural footage of them talking, embracing and kissing around the fields, hills and trees of Deer Park. Great when couples let us lead them and it helps us do our best work for their film!
The speeches were some of the most fun we’ve ever filmed. Anthony’s speech, in particular and as expected, had a bit of everything. Plenty of jokes, humour and not a dry eye in the house for parts of his speech, especially his moving tribute to his mentor.
When the speeches were done, we got lots more creative shots and natural moments with the couple, before it was cake cutting time and then the first dance. Definitely a cool first dance and the folks who got on the dance floor right after the couple certainly had energy to burn for days! Great stuff!
One of the highlights of the whole day was the sparkler lighting at about 9:30pm. The guests formed to lines and a processional bit down the middle (think a traditional lineup for a confetti shot!), lit sparklers and waved them whilst the bride and groom walked past them all! Made for some breathtaking shots for the film! Definitely want to film sparkler shots at more weddings!
We send our best wishes to Jenni and Anthony, who have already jetted off to Cancun, Mexico for their honeymoon! You were a lot of fun! All the best in your new lives together, guys!
