A warm August day was the scene for Kalia and Pete’s big day. Yes, the stars aligned and the weather held off to allow all assembled to enjoy a fantastic day!
Kalia and Pete asked us to be a part of their wedding day and we knew we were in for a treat. Kalia and Pete both have a great sense of humour, so we knew the day would be filled with laughter and entertainment. We’d already filmed their Love Story, so it was splendid to be able to continue on with their journey and shoot their wedding day, too.
This marks the first time Shoot The Piano Player have filmed a couple’s marriage journey from Love Story right the way through to their wedding day.
The day began at the lovely St Johns Church in Worcester. It was a great turnout of guests from Worcester and Redditch (Kalia and Pete’s hometowns, respectively) and there was also a lot of guests from further afield. Kalia and Pete have family and friends all over the country, so there were folks from London, the Isle of Wight, Manchester and more.
After the ceremony in St Johns, the procession moved to the Bank House Hotel, just outside Worcester. It was particularly cool to see the choice of wedding cars for this wedding – lovely traditional cars that really gave the occasion an old time feel.
Taking photographs on the day were Ice Fine Photography, who really captured some great shots.
One of the highlights of the day for us was Kalia and Pete’s rendition of Phantom of the Opera dying their First Dance! We’d never seen anything like this (and probably never will again!), so it was awesome to capture this unique wedding dance for posterity on video.
Kalia and Pete are a fantastic couple and we wish them all the best in their new lives together!
